  Why The Final Works      Out of all of these designs, I feel like the 5th design which is at the bottom left is my favorite. This is because it is one of the only ones where I feel like the line around the Tor actually connects well and I also like how the color gradient worked and the deep blue to light purple I like a lot. I feel like it works the best as the final because it looks both clean and professional which is what I was going for with the Tor design and the tighter spacing works better with the font and doesn't affect the way you interpret the design. I think it also stands out the most compared to the other designs with my eyes gravitating towards that last design in specific rather than the other designs. I din't spend the most time on the design but it looks like there was a lot of effort made to make the design like that in which did happen when making the design.  5 Digi Roughs 1 2 3 4 5 Reflection I was pretty happy with the way my digi roughs had come out. I decided to do one design that I liked for each one of the names. I had a couple issues while making these designs though, firstly I couldn't find the right font for Eric so I found a different one but used the same design. Secondly, for Eric Torres I wrote it in my normal hand writing so I had to choose a font that I'd like to represent the design. Thirdly, the line I made on Tor I wasn't really happy about but I am not all that bothered by it since its a rough. I like the designs though as I found a nice font for Eric and both the ET and Torres came out well and the way I liked. I feel like I could still improve on these designs more as I move from roughs to finals. I also had to understand how to use the direct selection tool and create outline in order to make both ET and Torres look more connected and nice rather than it looking like it was sloppily attached the E and T.

  Pencil Roughs Reflection     I enjoyed making these logos and was really happy with some of them and not that happy with the others. Primarily the Eric Torres sketches I was lost on so I ended up making some pretty basic designs. For others like ET, Torres and Tor, I was really happy with what I came up with and the meaning and designs with the words. For ET I just thought of different ways of combining the letters. For Torres I though of reusing and remaking some of the designs that I didn't use for the previous branding project we had and I liked the results I had. With Tor it was a unique name I came up with with the meaning being similar to Tour in which you are touring my art. For the final name Eric I though it was fine and I liked some of the ideas I came up with for the fonts and the way it was written. 

  Ideas 1. Torres  This makes me feel happy because this idea and meaning of using my last name is used in a unique way and is understandable once you know the english translation of Torres. I honestly don't know how people would feel when seeing Torres I feel like maybe they might see it as more professional.  2. Tor This one is a unique take on shortening my last name. When I personally thought of Tor I thought since its used for a portfolio, Tor could mean Tour as in Touring my art. This could make people feel intrigued   3. E.T. This one is my initials and makes me feel intrigued as other people could interpret ET as extraterrestrial which grabs your interest as its unknown 4. Eric Eric is just a simple name and in my opinion feels bland by its self as there isn't much significance to the name Eric as there is to Torres.  5. Eric Torres Eric Torres is my name. Design Portfolio Research                      1. Craig Black ( https://craig.black/ ) The site attracts me as it is very minimalistic and uses monochrome colors. I also like how it is putting emphasis on the art Craig Black made. The colors of the art are in unique patterns, primarily using bright colors that drag your eyes towards the art. I also like the way the way he is descriptive about his art and his life with art.   The layout is nice as it has a hierarchy that drags you eyes from either left to right or the opposite and then down as the rows of his art progress. The colors are very bright and remind me of hydro dipping. The fonts are clean and easy to read.                     2.  Senior Accountability      For my senior year I plan to stay motivated and focused to achieve my goals by concentrating on what will help me achieve those goals. With academic goals I will concentrate on doing the work for those classes on time and putting my effort into that work. Specifically with AP Calculus, I plan to not only focus on completing the work, but also to study the contents we learn which I've rarely done before.With personal goals such as artistic and gaming goals. I will  also try to slowly achieve those goals the best I can but prioritize school over it so that I am prepared for college and don't mess up the current grades I have that I am happy with. Getting high grades in these new classes for senior year make me motivated to do my best in the class and guarantee I get into the college I want, and to get the credits for the college I have.
